In today’s world, we are almost constantly bombarded by advertisements and promotions so it is not surprising that “Gen Y” is a generation that is incredible brand-aware. After sitting down with 500 Millennials from all over the nation, Buzz Marketing Group gathered a few interesting findings about brands that most resonate with this particular demographic.
When asked about their favorite fast food brands, 46% of survey respondents chose Chipotle. Panera Bread (38%) and Subway (37%) came in second and third.
There is an even bigger difference when it comes to electronic brands, as over half (56%) of participants reported Apple to be their top choice.
And Levi’s won out in the jeans brand category with 62% of survey respondents listing their brand as a favorite. Guess came in a distant second place with 31%.
In regard to apparel, the distribution among top brands is a bit more equal with 31% reporting H&M as their favorite, 24% reporting Old Navy, and 23% reporting Forever 21.
The majority of those surveyed (85%) listed Amazon as their favorite “e-Commerce” brand; and Netflix surprisingly came in fourth place with 36%.
Target gathered a similar majority with 70% of survey repondents listing it as their favorite department store brand. Walmart came in a distant second with 39% and only 24% listed IKEA as their top department store brand.
