| What’s the current song-of-the-moment you can’t get out of your head? |
Well that would be Ari Hest’s “A Fond Farewell.” Love it. Anything Kanye West is a close second though. |
| Who is your style icon? |
I don’t have one. I like to study fashion and style and incorporate different elements of different people’s style. And honestly, I’m not one to copy a celeb’s style. I’m more likely to go to Paris and check out what a teenager is wearing in a trendy suburb and get tips from her! |
| Name something you can’t live
without. |
STARBUCKS. Me without ‘BUCKS in the morning is not a good thing. Oh yeah, and my Ogo is a close second. |
| What is your must-have fashion resource? |
British Glamour. I always find something cute in there. I also like AGENDA magazine (which I usually have a friend in Paris send to me). |
| First thought that crossed your mind this morning: |
I NEED STARBUCKS! |
| Last book that made you laugh out loud or gave you the chills: |
Bergdorf Blondes. You really gotta read this one for yourself. |
| Your most memorable fashion faux pas? |
Oh lordy…must have been back in 5th grade when me and my friends thought I.O.U.s and Z. Cavaricci’s were the must-haves. I looked like a mini MC Hammer…so not cute. |
| Most inspiring place you’ve been? |
Honduras after Hurricane Mitch. I spent a month there rebuilding houses, working at an orphanage, and working on a farm. That experience definitely inspired me and I think about the people I met and things I did there all the time. I keep a picture of three girls from the orphanage on my desk and anytime I get frustrated or angry, I look at them and I feel much better. If they can be happy after what they’ve survived, surely I can put on a happy face. |
| Best advice you’ve ever been given? And why you may not have taken it… |
Things were not going so well for Buzz when I was living in Chicago, and a close friend suggested I leave. Didn’t take it b/c I’m not a quitter, and now I can say I’ve been through hell and back. :) |
| Favorite smell? |
Pikaki – the Hawaiian flower of love. Everybody needs a little more pikaki in their lives… |
| Your house is in flames…what is the one item of clothing you’d be sure to rescue from your closet? |
My tweed trench coat from Austria. I’m sure I’d never be able to replace it, so that would be it! |
| What is the one thing that can keep you smiling all day? |
My Instant Messenger. Talking to my teens makes me laugh all day. Hearing about their makeups, breakups, and horrifying teachers is just hilarious. |
| Greatest addiction? |
Hmm…3way tie between STARBUCKS, reading magazines, and buying Louis bags… |
| Would your friends consider you to be straight edge or more of a rebel? |
Hmm…hard to say…I’m most certainly the type to have a 5 year plan (for me and my future husband), but I’m not one to do what everyone else does. I’m a pretty independent thinker. I guess I’m an indie Type A personality. |
| What would you wear if you landed a date with Prince William? |
A t-shirt that says “I do.” |
| If you could provide a Fashion Emergency makeover to anyone you know, who would it be? And how would you transform them? |
Most definitely Carolyn from “The Apprentice.” Now I know I wouldn’t be the happiest woman if I spent 13 weeks following around D Trump wannabees, but she needs to smile. And I mean, a real smile. I would take her to a party at NYU…After a real night of fun, I think she’ll have a new attitude. She’s already got pretty good fashion sense…she’s just a little too buttoned up. |
| If you were Donald Trump’s stylist, where would you begin? |
The Donald has good style. It would be so sad if he were a billionaire with bad style. And seriously, do we think the supermodel girlfriend who be going around town with an unfashionable Donald? I think not. His hair has actually grown on me over the last few months. It's his thing. Madonna has a gap, Macy Gray's got the voice, and the Donald has the hair. |
| What reality TV star has the most style? |
Katrina from “The Apprentice.” She took sexy office attire to a whole new level. Leah from Real World: Paris always looked fab, too. |
| If you could have been an extra on any movie, what would it be? |
Oh god, the Prince and Me. I would have filled in for Julia during her kissing scenes…a hard job, but someone had to do it… |
| If you could be invisible for one hour, what kind of mischief would you get yourself into? |
Hmm…I’m a nosy little thing, so I’d probably spend some time in the Oval Office, head on over to the United Nations headquarters, and probably end up in the Cosmo magazine headquarters. |
| What’s the best part about working for Buzz? |
I own it. Haha…really, I guess it’s talking to youth all day long, and representing their opinions as honestly as I can to my clients. And I really enjoy chilling out with my peers, and creating youth culture. Being able to predict trends, solve problems, and really just travel and see cool stuff is the life. I also love having the opportunity to inspire other young people and provide a cool work environment for them where they can be creative and reach their personal goals. |
